Famously Rio Ferdinand’s childhood hangout, Leyton Square Adventure Playground is a free, staffed open access adventure playground for children and young people between the ages of 6 and 15 years. It features a recently built play building which was funded by Southwark Cleaner, Greener, Safer Programme and The Big Lottery Fund. Previously run by Southwark Council, the Playground was signed over to The Friends of Leyton Square.
