ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND VOLUNTEERS

Play street organisers

Adventure playgrounds run on the energy of volunteers.

  • Where: an adventure playground near you – look here
  • When: after school, school holidays and weekends
  • Benefits: new skills, new friends, warm fuzzy feelings

Adventure playgrounds are inspiring places which offer a variety of ways of becoming involved, from joining the board of trustees to make decisions about how the organisation is managed; to helping run sessions or mentoring, construction, gardening, maintenance and fire lighting activities.

Check out the list of adventure playgrounds on our website or take a tour via our interactive map and get in touch with one close to you.

Local authorities across London are making it easier for residents to close their streets for a few hours each week or month so that children can play out, neighbours can get to know each other better and the world can become a better place 😉

  • Where: your street
  • When: you decide
  • Benefits: healthy happy children, better relationships with neighbours, safer streets

London Play has been helping put play back on the capital’s streets since 2008. And we can help you too!

If you or a group of neighbours would like to get this happening in your street, get in touch. It is simple, free and will transform your street for the better.

Volunteering
London's 80 or so adventure playgrounds would not exist without the creativity, energy, time and effort of volunteers.
